Muse has released a new song called “Thought Contagion” from an upcoming album (which apparently is not nearly finished) that will be released around the fall of 2018 or early 2019. The British rock band shared the song on social networks in the Past days. The release follows the single “Dig Down” of the band, which was released last year.
Originally known as Rocket Baby Dolls, they won the Best Rock album in the Grammys for the Resistance in 2011 and Drones in 2016.
As expected, the track follows political issues. Before its release, the leader Matt Bellamy told Rolling Stone what inspired him: “Probably watching American news stations.” We are living in a time when these types of ideologies, the belief systems of people, whether true or false, are receiving a lot of transmission time, especially those on the false side. I think we live in an unusual period in which crazy ideas are being given a lot of time on the air.
